The Immortal Gazette Presents: "Sun, Moon, and Just a Little Chaos"
The Immortal Gazette studio had barely recovered from last issue’s Orpheus-induced disaster when Alice waltzed in, balancing a tower of tea cups, absolutely glowing with mischief.
Loki, already lounging at the table like he owned the place, smirked. "Ah, tea and trouble—you do know how to make an entrance, dearest Alice."
Rumplestiltskin, not in the mood, crossed his arms. "If this ends in another metaphorical—or literal—fire, I am walking into the Void and not coming back."
Alice set her tea down with exaggerated grace. "Oh, stop being so dramatic. Today's topic is actually quite beautiful—a celestial love story, if you will."
Loki leaned in, far too intrigued. "Do tell."
Alice flipped open her book, clearing her throat. "Today, we discuss the Korean myth of Haemosu and Princess Yuhwa—the Sun God and a mortal princess fated to be together… yet destined for tragedy."
Rumple sighed. "Of course it’s tragic."
Loki ignored him. "A love between the Sun and the Earth—that is intriguing." He tapped his fingers thoughtfully. "Tell me, Alice—if you were the sun, would you ever let the world go?"
Alice blinked, momentarily caught off guard. "That is a ridiculously loaded question."
Rumple pointed at them both. "NO. We are NOT doing this right now."
Alice gracefully ignored him. "Haemosu, the Sun God, fell in love with Princess Yuhwa at first sight. He descended from the heavens in a chariot drawn by dragons—"
Loki whistled. "Now that is an entrance. I should get one of those."
Rumple visibly twitched. "Absolutely not."
Alice continued, undeterred. "He tried to take her to the heavens with him, but she could not stay. Her mortal soul was bound to Earth. And so, despite their love, they were separated."
Loki drummed his fingers on the desk. "An immortal being, trying to keep hold of a fleeting love…" He flashed Alice a knowing smile. "Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?"
Alice rolled her eyes, but her smirk betrayed her amusement. "You do love your dramatic interpretations, don’t you?"
Loki grinned. "Only when they get a reaction."
Rumple threw his notebook across the room. "NO. WE ARE NOT DOING THIS AGAIN."
Alice sipped her tea. "Doing what?"
"THAT. The thing where he flirts, you pretend you don’t notice, and I slowly lose my mind."
Loki looked far too pleased with himself. "Oh, Rumple, you wound me. It’s just friendly banter."
Rumple pointed at him, feral. "You are never friendly."
Alice, deciding she had enough of Rumple’s dramatics, closed the book. "And that, dear readers, is how love can shine like the sun, yet remain forever out of reach."
Loki chuckled. "Or how some people just refuse to let things happen."
Rumple’s eye twitched violently.
Alice stood, gathering her tea. "And that concludes this edition of The Immortal Gazette. Tune in next time for more legends, more chaos, and possibly the moment Rumple finally combusts."
Loki grinned. "I will be taking bets on that."
Rumple, now questioning all his life choices, let his head thud against the desk.
