Hestia: The Heart of the Home | The Immortal Gazette

In the Immortal Gazette studio, the air was cozy—almost too cozy, as if the entire place was wrapped in a blanket of immortal warmth that made everyone uncomfortably comfortable. Alice was lounging on a velvet cushion, her oversized teacup dangerously close to spilling its contents as she half-heartedly listened to Loki arguing about how he was the one who should always be in charge of the next edition of the Gazette.

“Alright, immortals, settle down,” Alice called out, her voice sharp, cutting through the banter. “Today, we’re diving into Hestia—the goddess of the hearth, home, and being the most underrated Olympian.”

Loki smirked. “I’m already intrigued. So, what exactly did she do?”

Alice raised an eyebrow. “What did she do? Darling, she did the most important thing of all—she kept everything from falling apart.”

Rumple snorted. “That’s quite the claim for someone who never left her hearth.”

Alice gave him a sharp look. “Not everyone needs to be running around causing chaos to have real power. She was the heart of Olympus, keeping the divine fires of the gods burning bright. Without her, everything would have gone dark and cold. Literally.”

Loki chuckled. “So, she was the housewife of the gods?”

Alice rolled her eyes. “Oh, come on, Loki. It’s so much more than that. Hestia was the embodiment of warmth, stability, and home. She was the keeper of the sacred flame, the one who made sure Olympus didn’t just fall into chaos.”

Rumple leaned forward. “Okay, okay, but let’s talk about this whole staying at home thing. You can’t tell me she didn’t get bored. She didn’t even have a throne on Mount Olympus, for the gods’ sake. Just a fireplace.”

Alice smirked. “She didn’t need a throne, darling. She was too busy keeping the gods from burning themselves alive, hosting feasts, and making sure the hearth fire never went out. Her presence was everything, even when she wasn’t in the spotlight.”

Loki sighed, tapping his fingers on the table. “So, she was like... the safety net for the gods?”

“Exactly,” Alice said, leaning back. “And here’s the kicker—she never took sides. While the other gods bickered and fought for power, Hestia stayed out of it. She didn’t want glory, she didn’t want fame. She wanted peace. And, let’s be honest, she got what she wanted, didn’t she?”

Rumple crossed his arms. “You know, I’d call that smart. No drama, no rivalries. Just... warmth and a quiet life.”

Alice grinned. “I knew you’d get it eventually. Hestia was the goddess who made sure Olympus wasn’t a total disaster. She was the one who kept the fire burning, not just literally, but metaphorically. She held everything together.”

Loki tapped his chin thoughtfully. “Not bad for someone who never even left her hearth.”

Alice waved a hand. “Who says you have to leave to be essential? Hestia wasn’t interested in fighting or playing political games. She kept the fire of Olympus alive, and that was her strength. Her heart was the hearth—the foundation of everything.”

Rumple smirked. “Maybe I should’ve asked Hestia for advice before I tried to take over the world. Would’ve been a lot warmer than the burns I got.”

Alice gave him an exaggerated look of sympathy. “Oh, poor Rumple—the master of manipulation, yet you never thought to ask the hearth goddess how to keep things together.”

Loki chuckled. “Maybe next time, Rumple.”

Alice shot them both a look. “Let’s not forget, Hestia chose to remain a virgin goddess. No romantic entanglements. Just pure, untainted focus on her work—keeping the flame of Olympus alive. That’s real power.”

Loki raised an eyebrow. “So she never married?”

Alice gave him a sly grin. “I suppose you could say she was too busy being the fire keeper to get caught up in a godly marriage. Who needs it when you’ve already got everything under control?”

Rumple scoffed. “I wouldn’t mind a little more control over things. Maybe I’ll get a fire of my own.”

Alice took a sip of her tea, eyes twinkling with mischief. “Maybe you should’ve asked Hestia for tips instead of trying to spark chaos, darling.”

And so, the Immortal Gazette closed its latest chapter, honoring a goddess who might have seemed quiet, but whose steady presence held the very heart of Olympus together.
