Ares: The God of War and Unrelenting Fury | The Immortal Gazette

The Immortal Gazette studio was, as always, in peak chaos mode—enchanted quills scribbling on floating parchment, a spectral cat knocking over a stack of scrolls, and Loki casually tossing a golden apple in the air like he wasn’t about to cause trouble.

Alice, perched on her ever-present, throne-like chair, took a slow sip of her mysterious tea before announcing, “Alright, today’s subject—Ares. The god of war, bloodshed, and generally being a walking, rage-induced headache.”

Loki smirked. “Ah, Ares. The guy who thinks war is a personality trait.”

Rumple huffed. “No, no—Mars is the strategist. Ares is just a reckless brute with daddy issues.”

Alice grinned. “Exactly! See, Ares wasn’t loved, not even by his own family. Zeus thought he was too much, Hera barely tolerated him, and Athena, who was also a war god, basically outshined him in every way.”

Loki raised a brow. “A war god who loses battles? How embarrassing.”

Alice smirked. “Oh, he lost a lot. Most of the other gods saw him as a walking disaster. Even mortals didn’t worship him the same way they did Athena.”

Rumple crossed his arms. “Because Athena was about strategy. Ares just wanted to swing swords and break things.”

Alice grinned. “And yet, he was still feared. When he did fight, it wasn’t about glory—it was about raw, unrelenting carnage. Athena fought to win, Ares fought to destroy.”

Loki chuckled. “So, basically, the human embodiment of road rage?”

Alice nodded. “Pretty much. And let’s not forget his... romantic escapades.”

Rumple groaned. “Ugh, here we go.”

Alice smirked. “Oh, yes. Aphrodite. The goddess of love herself. They were all over each other.”

Loki snorted. “Until Hephaestus caught them red-handed.”

Alice cackled. “And trapped them in an unbreakable net, called in all the gods, and humiliated them in front of everyone.”

Rumple shook his head. “Truly, a divine level of secondhand embarrassment.”

Alice grinned. “But despite the mockery, Ares was still necessary. War exists, blood will be spilled, and Ares? He’s the reminder of what happens when battle turns into madness.”

Loki smirked. “So, to sum it up—Ares was the god of brute force, rage, and questionable decisions, but when war called? He answered without hesitation.”

Alice raised her teacup. “And that, dear readers, is why Ares—for all his fury, failures, and sheer chaotic energy—will always have a place in myth and legend.”

And with that, another brutal, blood-soaked tale came to a close at the Immortal Gazette.
