Potion Mishap Turns Coven's Cats into Polka-Dotted Bunnies!

An Immortal Gazette Exclusive: The Hoppy Cat-astrophe That Shook 4EverMore!

Well, it was only a matter of time before something ridiculous happened in 4EverMore’s magical circles, but this? This takes the cake. Or should we say, the carrot?

The infamous Coven of Moonshadow, known for their arcane prowess and mystical prowess over potions, decided to whip up a simple potion to enhance their cat familiars' abilities. Nothing fancy, just a little boost in their spellcasting. What could go wrong, right? Well, apparently everything.

One teeny miscalculation later, and the Coven’s cats—fierce, powerful, and proud—turned into a rather odd sight: polka-dotted bunnies. Yes, you read that right. Bunnies. Covered in spotted fur like they were the result of an overly ambitious fashion statement gone terribly wrong.

“I—uh—didn’t think it would turn out like that,” says Thalia Fatesinger, the young witch responsible for the misfire, clearly a bit... flustered. “I was just trying to mix a little bit of the Feline Enchantment Root with the Levitation Essence to give them a little extra zip. Maybe even some extra magic mojo. But I got distracted by, well, a small explosion in my lab. And—boom. Bunnies.”

Not just any bunnies, mind you, but bunnies with perfectly circular polka dots scattered all over their fur. Like someone had dipped them in a vat of paint—and made sure they were incredibly cute at the same time. Of course, this would have been hilarious, if it hadn’t been for the fact that these were supposed to be cats. Fierce, protective, sometimes murderous cats. And now? Now they were fluffy, fluffy, adorable, slightly confused bunnies.

This is the worst thing that’s ever happened to me,” said Lilith Nightshade, a senior witch in the Coven, shaking her head in disbelief as she stared at one of the newly transformed creatures nibbling on some enchanted lettuce. “"What do I even do with this? My cat familiar—that one right there—could summon thunderstorms with just a flick of its tail! Now, I have to worry about polka-dotted bunnies causing chaos instead. This is madness. What next? Will my cauldron start brewing chocolate milk instead of potions?

To make matters even more complicated (because, let’s face it, of course it did), these polka-dotted bunnies weren’t just hopping around looking cute and confused. No. They were still imbued with some of their original feline traits, and it didn’t take long for things to go sideways. These bunnies, for all their cuteness, were still throwing things off shelves, shredding the occasional enchanted scroll, and—despite their new cuddly appearance—scratching anyone who got too close. In fact, one particularly feisty bunny—formerly known as Shadowclaw—managed to upend an entire potion shelf, which, of course, caused an explosion of sparkly pink smoke. The resulting confusion left the Coven scrambling to keep their wits intact and their bunnies in check.

The Coven of Moonshadow, known for their calm, controlled nature, is now a flurry of frantic activity—mostly involving trying to keep the bunnies from getting into anything dangerous. One bunny, in particular, has developed an affinity for chewing on enchanted herbs—and they don’t just any herbs. These are herbs that are usually reserved for curse-breaking spells, which is why they’re currently having to chase a bunny down before it swallows a whole batch and turns itself into something else entirely. Again.

“I’ve had it,” groaned Selene Darkmore, the Coven’s head witch, watching as a bunny knocked over a jar of potent Midnight Moon Vine essence. “It’s official. The cats are never getting another dose of magic again. If I have to deal with these cursed bunnies for one more minute, I’m going to turn this entire Coven into a newt.”

But just as the situation seemed beyond repair, a DayWalker named Alice, who happened to be passing through on her usual mischief-making spree, popped in to witness the debacle. “"Isn't this adorable?” Alice grinned as a bunny hopped across her path. “"Who knew your magical talents would result in a cuddly catastrophe like this? Maybe you should just let them hop around. I mean, imagine all the pranks they could pull off, bunnies in the lead—polka dots as the ultimate disguise. Genius, really. You've got a whole new breed of chaos on your hands!

But the Coven of Moonshadow wasn’t quite ready to embrace their new, fuzzy reality. “"Not. Helping,” Thalia muttered as she tried to reverse the spell, holding a wand to her forehead and muttering a string of incantations. “"Can we please get the cats back? And maybe—just maybe—save the polka-dots for fashion season?"

The true question now remains: What happens next? Will the Coven of Moonshadow forever be haunted by polka-dotted, magical bunnies? Or will they find a way to fix this magical mess before it goes completely out of control? Well, given that it’s 4EverMore, we can only assume the chaos is only just beginning.

One thing’s for sure: the next time the Coven decides to spice up their potion recipes, they’ll be thinking twice before summoning any cats—or bunnies—again.
